John Jensen's Biography:
Perhaps more questions have
been asked about John Jensen's ability to sound like "The King of Rock
and Roll" than most other performers today; but one thing is for sure:
This is not lip-syncing!
The voice you hear is John's - naturally identical to that of
Elvis. From the moment he steps foot on stage, you will be captivated by
his remarkable gift!
When you have the opportunity to meet John, you will find he is more
than just an entertainer and singer, his appearance and personality
make him a natural in the public relations arena. After seeing him
perform, you too will ask, is it John, or Elvis?
As Ohio's number one
Elvis Impersonator John Jensen is the complete package! Natural looks,
sound and moves identical to Elvis. He is not the typical exaggerated
caricature of Elvis which comes to mind when you hear the word
'impersonator'. John Jensen is a talented musician and singer, with an
amazingly true to life 'Elvis' sound. When he performs the King's
music, it is the closest thing to seeing Elvis actually perform live
that you can find today. But beyond that, John brings his great respect
for Elvis through his performance - it truly is a heartfelt tribute the
the King.
As the title of the show
"Hail to the King" suggests, the audience, young and old alike, is taken
on a magical journey back in time to pay tribute to the man who changed
the future of music forever.
Baby boomers are thrilled
with Jensen in full fifties costume as he belts out the young Elvis hits
such as That's Alright Mama and Hound Dog. In the next set the leather
clad Jensen dazzles the ladies with The Wonder of You and reminds us of
those Suspicious Minds. The journey concludes with all the glitz and
glammer of a Vegas show complete with jumpsuit, rhinestones and the
occasional appearance of show girls. The finale, An American
Trilogy, leaves the teary eyed audience on it's feet as they realize
this is John Jensen before them, not the King himself!
John feels so blessed to
be able to have the gift of this incredible voice. Bringing a smile to
people's faces gives him a great feeling of satisfaction. Each month he
tries to give something back to the community by providing his time in
support of a local charity. During the summer of 2005 he had the
wonderful opportunity to donate a show to Camp Quality, a local summer
camp for children with Cancer. During this show he discovered his twin,
a little boy self named "Elvis".
